“Is any thing too hard for the Lord?” Genesis 18:14
There will be times on your spiritual journey where you will know that God has spoken something just to you. He will personalize it with a promise. You will know that nothing or no one could make you doubt it was God Who has spoken to you. These times must be followed by a belief in what He has spoken, a remembrance of His promise, and a focus untill its fulfillment.
In Genesis 18 God came to Abraham’s tent in the form of an Angel and spoke a promise to Abraham. He told Abraham that Sarah would have a child. You must remember that Abraham and Sarah were past natural child-bearing age and so this promise would take some diligence and perseverance on their part. Sometimes when God gives you a promise it will for an appointed time and you must have faith in what He has spoken will come to pass. This is what happened to Abraham and Sarah. God had spoken the promise, but they would have to walk in faith until it was fulfilled in their lives.
ENCOURAGEMENT: What have you been praying for? What is the desire of your heart? Know that God hears your prayers and will come to you and speak His word of encouragement into your heart. God wants to answer your prayers. Take the time to meet with Him and listen to what He will tell only you! Take the promise and believe that He will do what He says!!
Sarah was able to conceive a child at 89 years of age, Abraham was 99 years old. There is nothing too hard for our God! Keep praying and believing! God will do it!
