“And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?” Matthew 7:3
It is imperative in my life that I concentrate on one person when it comes to fault finding, improvement, suggestions, or just critiquing, that is myself…Me! I find when I want to fix, improve, or straighten out anyone else other than myself I do not experience the peace and contentment of living a spirit-filled life. It is because my concentration has been redirected and reduced from a relationship of love to a critical and condemning attitude and my spirit suffers for it, internally and externally.
Through the above verse of Scripture, I am reminded that when I want to work on someone, work on my own life. This will not only benefit my own relationship with the Lord, but will enable me to stay in a place and position where God can use me as His instrument of love for others.
ENCOURAGEMENT: Practice removing the daily things out of your life that may try to accumulate and take you out of love, peace, and joy.
Looking within will help you from looking without!
