A Resting Place

“And My people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.”  Isaiah 32:18

In this day and age, rest is longed for by all individuals.  Vacations and times of relaxation are designed to help refresh us to once again allow us to walk in the hectic pace and pressure of this present world.  You and I need to know how we are to find our resting place.  It is a place where we can dwell experiencing a supernatural existence.  We are able to abide there despite what is taking place in our everyday life.

God’s encouragement to each of us is found in the passage of Isaiah 32:18.  As a child of God, we are promised a resting place.  You and I are assured of its existence.  This place of rest can be found in your heart.  Through God’s Word, He guarantees us that we can have a quiet resting place.

This resting place is God’s gift to His children.  It can be enjoyed and experienced by all who will seek after it.  It is revealed through the intimacy with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, through reading the Scriptures, in prayer, and through the fellowship and encouragement of other believers.

God tells us that we “shall dwell” in this place.  He is at work within us to see that all of us achieve our destination.  God knows that the inner man deeply longs to experience this place of rest.  For each of us the journey to this land of rest is different, but one that is assured.  I encourage you to continue your journey.

Rest is one of the many fruits that the Promise Land offers.  Once the soul has tasted the fruit of rest, its hungering will never be satisfied for anything less.

Be Encouraged: Your Supernatural Gift Is On Its Way

We give God thanksgiving and praise for His Covenant promise to His children.  Be encouraged, the supernatural gift is on its way.  You will come to experience a Spirit of continual rest as you seek after Him.
